NEW | J4CS | the brushless multivoltage drive | One actuator - All voltages

J4C S is the new carbon brushless multi-voltage drive from J + J.

This fourth generation of J + J electric drives consists of 6 models with a torque of 20, 35, 55, 85, 140 and 300 Nm. The big difference with the previous version is that not only has the voltage range increased, but this generation also has a carbon-brushless motor. Now you can choose 24-240V AC / DC with 1 drive type, where you previously had the options of 12 24-AC / DC or 85-240V AC / DC.

In addition to the advantages that for all voltages between 24 and 240 volts both DC and AC 50-60Hz only one actuator is required, the use of a brushless motor also significantly improves the service life.

Electric actuators: Failsafe, On-off, Modulating, On-off modulating

Electric actuators work by converting electrical energy into mechanical rotational torque by running a motor in one direction to open a valve and then reversing the motor in the opposite direction to close the valve. A reversible electric actuator mainly consists of an electric motor, electronic motor control and a planetary mechanical gearbox.

These smart electronic actuators have evolved throughout the 20-year history to be in constant visual communication with the user via a multi-color LED status light, in a single model (THE NEW J4C-S WITH CARBON BRUSHLESS ENGINE and the predecessor J3C-S Type) that is both a 240V actuator and a 24V actuator thanks to the automatic patent application of 24-240V AC or DC multi-voltage sensing technology. J + J user-friendly smart electric drives offer modern functions that benefit the user. The design of these innovative EU-manufactured electronic actuators incorporates modern technology and offers an impressive list of useful functions that set the standard in the operated valve industry.

With a high torque capacity of up to 350 Nm from a relatively compact housing, the J and J industrial weatherproof quarter-turn electrical actuator provides a perfect drive solution for quarter-turn electrical valves to create typically-driven ball valves and operated butterfly valves for a wide variety of applications. As standard these electric actuators are protected against valve failures by an electronic torque limiter and against condensation with a thermostatic anti-condensation heater. Local visual and electrical confirmation of the remote distance and a selectable manual override function complete the main list with standard functions.

But the really smart feature is that the standard on / off operation can be changed easily and quickly by installing plug-and-play function conversion kits that make fail-safe electric actuators with a plug-in battery backup set, electric actuators with a self-modulating - calibrating plug-in digital positioning kit or failsafe modulating electrical actuators by installing both kits.

This creates a Power Open, Power Close functionality or more generally an on-off actuator, and this is the basic principle of the J + J electric actuator.

This third generation of J + J electric drives consists of 4 models with a torque of 20, 35, 55 and 85 Nm. The big difference with the previous version is that the voltage range has increased. Now you can choose 24-240V AC / DC with 1 drive type, where you previously had the options of 12 24-AC / DC or 85-240V AC / DC.

Carbon brush motor

Besides the advantages that for all voltages between 24 and 240 volts both DC and AC 50-60Hz only one actuator is required, the use of a closed carbon brush motor also significantly improves the service life.
