The construction
By using extremely high-quality materials and a patented sealing system, we offer multiple benefits to our clients. No compromises are made in the selection of materials. The housings are made of anodized aluminum, the sliders of stainless steel and the manual controls of brass. The biggest advantage of this sealing system is the extremely low friction.
Advantages of this construction
This benefit is based on the following technical principles:
- There is no deformation of the seal during assembly of the valve - they are given the ability to move individually with respect to the brass retaining sleeve. Without pneumatic pressure there is no contact pressure and therefore no friction. This construction also has beneficial consequences for the seals in the valve that are in use. If one switches a 5/2 valve, only three of the five seals are exposed to pressure and therefore exert friction on the slide.
- This unique sealing principle means that the contact pressure, and therefore the sealing effect, increases proportionally with the pressure. If the pressure is low, the contact pressure on the seal and the friction are minimized.
- Even if the pressure is high, also due to the shape of the retaining sleeve, a minimum contact pressure of the sealing rings required for sealing the valve occurs, as you see in the representation shown.
